The streak is gonna keep going. The streak has been one of the best things that’s happened to me in a long, long time. Y’all’s support for the streak has made it wonderfully enjoyable. And I just can’t bring myself to stop.

Because I work hard at keeping myself motivated. And yeah, that’s work. Especially when it gets to this point in setting up a new habit. It’s been 5 days, and this is the point where it’s easy to quit.

Day 4! Woo! I only ran a mile today, but I did it faster than I did yet: 8:54. I look forward to when my typical mile time gets down to the 7:50-8min mark again. That’s always a good boost to my confidence.

Day two of the runstreak happened. I recorded while dripping sweat from my run (or maybe it was from the rain that started in while I was out). I ran 1.1 miles, and my shoelaces came untied at 0.9. Never try to run a quarter mile with loose shoes. It’s just bad.

So I’m doing something about it. I’m starting a runstreak and podcasting about it every day this week. I am going for 7 days, at least 1 mile a day. So we’ll see how it goes.
